Piltown Karate Club was founded in 1981. Shotokan Karate is our style of Martial Art. The Club practice twice weekly - Monday in the Piltown Community Centre from 7pm
to 9pm and Wednesday in the Parochial Hall opposite Anthony’s Inn from 6pm to 8.30pm.

The Classes are open to all ages from 6 years old to Adults and Club members grade from beginners to Blackbelt. We also compete in Sport Karate which is ‘free sparring’ but with very light contact and ‘juniors’ no face contact’.

Karate improves Concentration, Co-ordination and Confidence and also improves fitness and well being of mind and body.

The ultimate aim of the art of Karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of character of its participants.”
