Piltown Girls Gaelic Football club was officially launched on 15 April 2010 on the back of the local primary schools (Piltown, Owning and Templeorum) wining five county championships in four years.

The club currently caters for players who are 11 years to minor. The teams play in Kilkenny for Under-12 to Under-16 and in Tipperary for minor. Many girls from the club have played inter-county for Kilkenny and won Leinster championship medals. The girls train once a week at Piltown GAA grounds and work in conjunction with Piltown Camogie Club.

New players regardless of experience and mentors with Gaelic Football experience are welcome, both from Piltown and neighboring parishes where there is no Ladies Football.
