Founded in 1826 by Lord Bessborough to improve the quality of life for his tenants in the Barony of Iverk, it has now developed to one of Irelands best agricultural shows, with an annual attendance in excess of 25,000.
Each year the voluntary committee try to organise a new event to making the show attractive to both the rural and urban attendance. The committee backed up by excellent sponsors and goodwill, combines to make it the success it now is.
Iverk Show has the proud record of being the first Irish show to participate in the Inter-Reg Project when it twinned with the Carmarthen Show in Wales.
